If you’re anything like me, hair washing is a weekly or at most, twice a week event. Having thick dry hair creates a lot of frizz, which means using product to tame it, which in turn requires more washing, thus creating a vicious cycle.

Enter dry shampoo! Gone are the days of dumping baby powder on you head to absorb excess oil, specially if you are brave enough to rock bangs. Nowadays you can find a variety of formulations that will address a number of issues.

Dry shampoo is often made from corn starch or rice starch, it’s formulated to reduce hair greasiness without the need for water. There are a variety of dry shampoo options such as aerosols, powders, clear formulas, tinted options.

Although dry shampoo is a great way to keep your hair looking great longer, it’s recommended to limit its use to no more than two days in a row. Otherwise, you risk damaging the hair and causing scalp issues.

With that said, here are my favorite dry shampoos.
